Dr. David Schultz is a native of Indiana. He received his Ph.D. in pharmacology and his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio. He completed his medical residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he spent an additional two years as a research fellow in hypertension. He then completed fellowships in general cardiology and interventional cardiology at Emory University in Atlanta, GA.
Board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, Dr. Schultz has practiced general and interventional cardiology in Birmingham for the past 12 years. He joined Alabama Cardiovascular Group in 2016.
