About
Dr. Gustavo Morales is a cardiologist with Alabama Cardiovascular Group, an affiliate of Grandview Medical Group. He specializes in the treatment of heart rhythm disorders such as atrial fibrillation (AFib) and ventricular tachycardia. He performs ablations of atrial fibrillation, supraventricular and ventricular tachycardias; and implants pacemakers, defibrillators and cardiac resynchronization devices. Dr. Morales is board certified in cardiovascular disease, clinical cardiac electrophysiology and internal medicine.

Dr. Morales earned his medical degree from the Universidad Catolica de Santiago de Guayaquil in Guayaquil, Ecuador. He completed an International Mini-Residency Program at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL, followed by an internal medicine residency and cardiovascular diseases fellowship at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL.
Prior to joining Alabama Cardiovascular Group, Dr. Morales was an associate professor of medicine in the division of cardiovascular medicine, department of internal medicine, at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY.
